We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: it’s incredibly heartening to see how quickly FirstGivers are responding to support Haiti disaster relief efforts.
This story just in from 5 year-old Lily’s mom:
When I told my daughter about the earthquake in Haiti and told her that they would need lots of help, she asked, “what kind of help do they need?”. I told her that they would need money, food, clean drinking water, and medical supplies. She said “I’d like to give them some of my money.” I said, “That’s great Lily! Whatever you donate, I will give the same amount.” That’s when she decided to ask others to do the same. My shy little girl got on the phone and started calling people. Anyone she could think of. Many people have agreed and even given much more than she asked for. She’s working on asking her class and the entire school!

Radio stations like WKLH are asking their listeners to donate online to support Save the Children’s Haiti disaster relief efforts.
Students at the Fletcher School knocked their initial goal to raise $1,000 for Haiti disaster relief efforts out of the park and are now approaching $5,000 in donations. To support them as they support Doctors Without Borders, visit their FirstGiving page.
