Today we bring you another nonprofit fundraising Best Practice in Action from our weekly email series. Each week, we’ll highlight an organization that has done an incredible job of promoting its online fundraising efforts with FirstGiving and show you how to do the same. This week’s Best Practice is. . .
Don’t just thank your donors. . . thank your fundraisers.
We know that you spend a lot of time thanking donors for their contributions to your organization’s work. We also know that telling donors how much you appreciate them and their generosity is an important part of relationship and community building for your organization. But sometimes amidst all the thanksgiving, fundraisers can get lost in the shuffle.
Showing appreciation for your fundraisers is just as important as showing appreciation for your donors, which is why we were impressed by this stellar email sent out by Mary, Executive Director of the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children:

Mary is ensuring that fundraisers for the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children’s event know how valued they are and what an important role they play in supporting the Foundation’s work.
So, to recap: Nonprofit organizations that cultivate relationships with their fundraisers tend to be highly successful, year after year. Invest just as much time in thanking your fundraisers as you do your donors, and build a strong foundation of support for the future.
Happy fundraising!
