Nonprofit Spotlight: Melanoma Research Foundation

NPOspotlight

Each month we highlight a couple of our nonprofit partners who have unique fundraising events, great success stories, or something else fantastic going on that we’d like to tell you about. Next up in our nonprofit fundraising series, the nonprofit spotlight, is  The Melonoma Research Foundation.

The Melonoma Research Foundation (MRF) funds cancer research, educates the community on cancer prevention, and raises awareness.  MRF has done a brilliant job with all three this year, hosting 5 walks, 2 golf outings and one half marathon with FirstGiving.

The Melanoma Research Foundation is a terrific community organizer.  They invite volunteers to fundraise for official MRF events as well as set up their own fundraising events to benefit MRF.  Each year the community involvement gets bigger and bigger and it has everything to do with volunteers spreading the word and advocating for the foundation.

Keep up the fantastic work, and we look forward to an even bigger and brighter 2010!
