Just a quick note, we’ve updated the sidebar to include a live feed of Firstgiving news from Google. And when we did, we noticed that Firstgiving has been noted as one of “100+ Sites for Green Living” on Mashable, so make sure you recycle this web page when you’re done reading it.
But seriously, there’s all sorts of great stuff going on news-wise and all sorts of great fundraising ideas and fundraising events happening this Fall. If you work for a nonprofit organization and want some tips on getting people activated for your fundraising event in the winter or fall, you might want to sign up for our free webinar, “Mobilize now for your winter/spring event” with Jeannie Colquett of the Bell Center. Jeannie is well into fundraising for her organization’s February event, and she will share some success stories and tip and tricks with the audience.
Finally, here are the results of last month’s poll, which asked, “are you doing an athletic fundraising event?” Of the 147 responess, almost half are walking, followed by about a quarter running, then some video gamers and couch potatoes, with a small but dedicated group of bikers, swimmers and triathletes. Our hats are off to all of them!
