Have you noticed our new surveys on the blog? Over there, to the right –>
We’d been hearing from some people that economic conditions might dampen charitable giving, so we threw up a little survey to take the temperature of the blogosphere. At least for people reading this blog, giving is mostly up compared to last year. 70% of respondents say they’re giving the same or more than they did last year.

Sure, that also means that 30% of people are cutting back on giving compared to last year, but given how much prices have gone up for basics like gas and groceries, this shows how important charitable giving is to people. A pretty encouraging sign, we think. What’s your experience of the effect of macroeconomics on fundraising?
