According an article by Marilyn Ferdinand of PTA.org (the Website for the National Parent Teacher Organization), an increasing number of parent teachers groups (PTAs) are looking to direct donation drives to raise money. They are learning that a direct solicitation program can be a “more time-efficient, effective way to raise funds” when compared to multiple buying/selling events.
