Firstgiving is hip. We have just joined one of the most talked about social networks by adding in a brand spanking new application for Facebook! Our developers have been busy working out all the kinks and we are ready for everyone to get going on Facebook and start spreading the do gooder word!  We are constantly working to improve and find new ways to connect your favorite cause to all of your favorite people and so Facebook is a really exciting new step for us.

What does the Firstgiving Application do?

The Firstgiving Facebook application opens up the world of Facebook to Firstgiving users! This means that you can show your  entire list of friends exactly what you are doing for charity and rally your Facebook community for support!  It also means that your friends will be able to see your progress as you near your goal, and get to your fundraising page from your Facebook profile.

Putting the Application on your profile:

• Log into your Facebook account.
• go to this link: 
  http://apps.facebook.com/firstgiving/
• Click "add application"
• Click "add fundraising"
• Type in your fundraising page URL and then click "add page"
• Check out your new app on your profile!
• Get your friends to add your app on their pages!
