FOTW or You are not being Punk’d

At Firstgiving, when we hear people grumble about Mondays, we laugh.  That’s right: good old fashioned belly laughs.  Because we think that Mondays are the best days ever! Monday is the day we get to write about (and you get to read about) the FOTW!Kidneypunk2

This week’s man of the hour is. . . Scott Earle!

Scott is a punk. A punk that is determined to change the world!  He will be taking part in the 2007 Kidney Walk at the Detroit Zoo. Scott is currently dealing with Kidney failure and is duly motivated to take part in making change! Because as he puts it, "I am on dialysis 3 times a week for 5 hours each time. I’m already getting sick of it, and I want to do something about it!!" And he is doing something about it.  Not only is Scott taking part in the walk, but he is also throwing a benefit concert to help raise funds for his walk and has enlisted several bands that are totally excited about helping out; you can check out details on his MySpace.

The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan is an organization dedicated to helping and improving the lives of those affected with kidney disease.

Scott, we like you. . . a lot!
