Firstgiving launches Fundraising Page Widgets

Just in time for a whole new year of fundraising, Firstgiving launches Widgets for fundraising pages!
What is a Firstgiving Widget?  Basically, it’s a dynamic snapshot of your fundraising page that you can post in your blog, on your website, or on many social networking sites.  This complements the Firstgiving badges that have been around for a while now (and which can still be used on social networking sites where the v1 Widgets don’t quite).

Here’s a widget for Elizabeth, who is raising funds for her upcoming volunteer trip:

Elizabeth can post this on her blog to let all of her readers know that she is raising funds for this cause, and to let those who have already supported her see her progress.  Pretty nifty, huh?

How can you get one? Click on the ‘Promote this page’ link under the thermometer on any fundraising page and you’ll get the html code you need. If you’ve created a fundraising page, you’ll find out more about the Widget by logging in to your Firstgiving account.
